Attendance

Every member is expected to attend 60% of the club's regular meetings. Rotary does not have excused absences except for very special situations (contact the Club Secretary). For more about attendance requirements, see the by-laws.

Each Rotary Club is governed by its Board of Directors.

Dues

Rotary Club of Marshall - Joining fee of $37, quarterly dues of $36.70 (International, District, and Local Dues plus $3.00 for Rotary Foundation Quarterly assesment.
Sunrise Rotary Club

Guests

You are invited to bring guests to our Rotary meetings. When you bring a guest, fill out the guest register. When guests are announced during the meeting, you should stand and introduce the guest. You will be billed for each guest that you bring to a regular meeting. If your guest is a visiting Rotarian, obtain a make-up card from the Club Secretary for them to take back to their club.

Make-Ups

If you plan to travel and make-up meetings, and want proof of membership, the Club Secretary will provide you with membership verification.

Meals

Rotary Club of Marshall meals are currently billed at $9.25 each and may be subject to change. Each member is billed for each regular meeting, whether present or not.
All meals are billed at the end of the quarter.
Some events are considered family functions. Guests will be charged the current meal cost in the next quarterly statement.
There are times during the year when reservations are needed to assist in obtaining appropriate room accommodations. Reservations that cannot be honored must be cancelled within 48 hours of the event or the full cost will be assessed. Late reservations may incur a late fee.
Meal credits will be given for make-up meetings. Make-ups must be made within 14 days of the missed meeting. Make-up card can be obtained from secretary of the club you are visiting. Present this card to your club secretary. Cards are void after two weeks.

Programs

Each member may be asked to be responsible for presenting a program approximately once a year. The program committee will schedule members for presentations. Please give your ideas for programs to the committee!

Presenters should arrive at the meeting early, and should sit with their guest speaker. If the presenter is unavailable on the day of the scheduled program, please make arrangements with a fellow Rotarian to introduce the program in your absence.

The Noon Club will also be providing introductions for our visiting high school students. Bios will be provided by the students. Please see the program schedule for assignments.

Sponsoring a New Member

Please present the name of prospective members to the Vice President for Membership, who will in turn present the prospect to the Club's Board of Directors.
If approved by the Board, the prospect will complete an application card.
The name of the prospective member will be announced at a regular membership meeting.
If no objection is made in writing within seven days, the prospective member will be automatically admitted to the club.
Candidates are deemed new members upon payment of fees and dues. New members will be introduced at a regular membership meeting, and should be prepared to give a brief biography at that time.
